Stefan Zsaitsits from Hainburg is an illustrator who uses traditional media to produce contemporary illustrations which are dark and quirky. His imaginative and surreal drawings are unique in style. Zsaitsits creates overdrawn illustrations of figures whose faces seem to be obstructed by some form of projected stories; enigmatic figures that morph into mountains, disappear or even turned into different objects. Highly skilled work that blurs the lines between illustration and fine art.

Stefan Zsaitsits was born in Austria (1981) and currently lives in Hainburg. He studied at the University of Vienna, Austria from 2001 to 2006 and he graduated with a diploma of applied Arts. He has been published in magazines such as artmagazine, ROOMS Art Uncovered Magazine and more, while his work has been featured in many exhibitions. Also his head based images have been featured in his 2010-2011 German language book, Headsongs, as well as in, Der Hals der Sängerin, a book of four short stories by the austrian writer Barbara Frischmuth.
