Last month, the prolific San Franciscan garage band Thee Oh Sees released their new album Floating Coffin. Taken from this album, Toe Cutter – Thumb Buster is accompanied by a beautifully crafted video. Directed by John Strong of Not So Strong Films, it follows a serial killer through one bloody (and cyclical) night; he goes to dispose of a body, someone sees him, he disposes of them, someone sees them again, he disposes of them as well, and then.. A video that can be at the same time funny and disturbing. Don’t skip any part and wait till the end – you won’t regret it.

Thee Oh Sees is a band from San Francisco, California, USA. The group began as an outlet for John Dwyer to release his instrumental, experimental home recordings, and over the course of several albums evolved into a full band. The band is noted for both its prolific album releases, energetic live shows, and their whimsical visual aesthetic that juxtaposes cartoon imagery and horror. They have a lo-fi electric-acoustic sound that’s usually soaked in reverb, making it as if one can hear and see the exact room they recorded in. It creates a very distinct mood that seems to fit their style, lyrics, and melodies. (last.fm)
